Angus Lawton and Erica McElreath have over 25 years of combined experience in legal matters. They have represented thousands of clients in different matters throughout South Carolina.

Mr. Lawton comes from a family of attorneys. His maternal grandfather, Angus Hamilton Macaulay, practiced law in Chester, South Carolina for over 40 years. Mr. Lawton's father was Thomas Oregon Lawton, Jr., an attorney who practiced in Allendale, South Carolina for 35 years. His mother, Bess Macaulay Lawton, was an Allendale County educator, and she served on the Allendale County and South Carolina school boards for many years. He is a graduate of Duke University and the University of South Carolina School of Law. Mr. Lawton has two siblings: Thomas Oregon Lawton, III, an attorney in Asheville, North Carolina, and Margaret Macaulay Lawton, a dean at the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina.

Erica McElreath is a native of Florence, South Carolina. Ms. McElreath obtained her undergraduate degree at College of Charleston, then after working at a Charleston law firm, went on to earn her Juris Doctor Degree from the Charleston School of Law. At the Charleston School of Law, Ms. McElreath served as articles editor of the Charleston Law Review. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Legal Research and Writing, and served as a Teaching Fellow in Legal Research and Writing. She also served as an intern to The Honorable Patrick Duffy and The Honorable Michael Nettles. Ms. McElreath's husband is also an attorney practicing in Charleston.

The Lawton Law firm handles a wide range of legal matters, including cases that range from personal injury, workers' compensation and auto accidents, to family law, medical malpractice lawsuits and general civil litigation. Additionally, the firm believes in giving back to the community by providing pro bono services, participating in community service, and serving the region through volunteer work opportunities.
