Angus Macaulay Lawton
Angus M. Lawton is the founding member of the Lawton Law Firm, L.L.C.. He is a native of Allendale, South Carolina.
Mr. Lawton was raised in a family of attorneys. His maternal grandfather, Angus Hamilton Macaulay, practiced law in Chester, South Carolina for over 40 years.
Mr. Lawton's father was Thomas Oregon Lawton, Jr., a world war II veteran and a practicing attorney for 35 years. His mother, Bess Macaulay Lawton, was an Allendale County educator, and she served on the Allendale County and South Carolina school boards for many years. Mrs. Lawton received her Ph.D in education from the University of South Carolina.
Mr. Lawton has two siblings: Thomas Oregon Lawton, III, an attorney in Asheville, North Carolina, and Margaret Macaulay Lawton, a law professor at the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina.
Mr. Lawton has a number of interests outside of the law. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping with his children, baseball, surfing, and playing chess. He also helps manage his family's tree farm in Allendale County.
Mr. Lawton lives in Mount Pleasant with his wife and two children.
Tina A. Walker
Ms. Walker is a native of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She graduated from Berkeley High School, and in college double majored in Political Science and Criminal Justice. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Jurisprudence at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. She also has a Masters in Business Administration.
Ms. Walker competed in the Thomas M. Cooley Mock Trial Competition and was named one of the top three litigators. She was then asked to be a member of the National Mock trial team, and was eventually named a member of the Mock Trial Board.
Ms. Walker enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling, and exercising.
Laurie Wohlscheid
Laurie Wohlscheid is the office manager for the Lawton Law Firm. She has worked with Angus Lawton for the past 13 years, and she is a trusted and valuable part of the firm.
Mrs. Wohlscheid was born and raised in Charleston. She attended James Island High School and Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Mrs. Wohlscheid’s husband is a golf professional on Kiawah Island. They have three children, and the family lives on James Island.
