Lambert, Foeckler, Bonfield, Homolka, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated v. American Express Financial Corporation; American Express Financial Advisors, et. Al.
This nationwide class action involved the improper classification of American Express financial advisors as independent contractors rather that employees. The case was filed in the United States District Court in the District of Minnesota. Angus Lawton initiated the nationwide class action by determining that a nationwide class existed. The litigation lasted over three years before it was resolved on behalf of the class for $15,000,000.00.
