Barnes v. 3-V Chemical Spa
This case involved a defective chemical filter press which weighed 1,800 pounds. A caster on the filter press broke while it was being serviced, resulting in a crushing injury to the client. The case filed in the Charleston Division of United States District Court against the defendant, which was an Italian corporation. Over fifteen depositions were taken in the case prior to its resolution for $1,400,000.00.
