Angus Lawton was recently asked by the James L. Petigru American Inn of Court to make a presentation for a seminar on “Mediation Practice During a Pandemic”. The presentation included a number of topics, including using technology for effective mediations during a pandemic, how to prepare your client for mediation, and what information to submit to the opposing side in advance of the mediation conference.
The American Inns of Court is an organization that focuses on improving the skills and professionalism of attorney. The James Petigru Inn is comprised of judges, lawyer, and law students from the Charleston area. The group’s goal is to promote collegiality among practicing lawyer and judges and to help educate law students about the legal profession.
